The buoys in Anholt harbor

loading="lazy"

When you arrive at a port, you probably expect to be able to moor your boat easily, conveniently and safely. You can do just that at Anholt.

At most of the port's several hundred meters of berth, a 'stern mooring buoy' has been established. This clever system, with a large 'eye' at the top of the mooring buoy (see photo), makes it a breeze for sailors to moor their boats. This means that even in bad weather, it is easy for sailors to moor their boat at Anholt harbor.

The buoys, which are three meters high, protrude one meter above the water. The buoys are driven into the harbor floor with a specially developed spear that wedges and is so firmly anchored to the bottom that it can withstand the strong pull of the boats.

It's easy to pull the mooring rope through the 'eye' of the buoy - then the boat is stable and secure in Anholt harbor.

It is not only the buoy system that makes a good bridge at Anholt harbor. It is also important that there is access to water and electricity.

Therefore, all bridges are equipped with water meters, and LED lights are installed in the electricity meters, which provide a nice and cozy lighting on bright summer evenings.

At this link you can read more about the bridge in the outer harbor at Anholt harbor and the new bridge for small boats.

Welcome to Anholt - the island of good bridges.
